It’s nearing the end of another week and life is starting to feel normal. I work every day from 8:30 to 5, at least for the next week. After I finish this temp job, I’ll start with ArtCraft Printers as their Graphic Artist. I’ve been working Saturdays for them, which is draining but gives me extra cash and the promise that I’ll be working for them full time soon.

We’ve been attending an Episcopal church lately, and last Sunday was a special service called “the Kirkin’ o’ the Tartan”. It was originally put into place during the 40s to honor Scottish cultural roots. Sunday’s service was meant to encourage the celebration of all ethnic traditions. So, the local Scottish society was there, and lots of people wore plaid in its various clothing forms. There was a bagpiper who piped along with the choir. All in all, it was a very enjoyable service.

Last night we went to the weekly bible study for the first time at the Covenant Church, the other religious institution with whom we’ve been flirting. It was nice to be able to connect with some people our age, although seeing and hanging out with college freshmen was a bit disorienting. I felt transported to Youth Group in high school. Not sure if those are pleasant feelings.
