• The Loving Decision

    …is a great name for it, really.

    Today is the 40th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s ruling in Loving vs. Virginia, which struck down the anti-miscegenation laws that made it illegal for people of different races to marry in many U.S. states.

    It’s pretty sobering to think that at a time in the recent history of our country, it would have been illegal for us to be married.
