This past week has been life changing, not for us, but for some of our dear friends who all coincidentally (or not) live on the west coast. So many felicitous events have reached us through the electronic ether, and it has been both a joyful and sad time for us, since we really wish we could be there to celebrate with our friends. So we’re publicly sending our love to the following:

First of all, Chris and Nicole got married on May 2nd in Washington, two individuals we met and befriended at Quest Church before they got together and decided to fall in love. I’m so glad that we got to know them, especially Nicole, who is a hilarious, creative and beautiful woman who happens to share my shoe size- a fact that has strengthened our friendship, I think. She has a lovely voice, and sang at our wedding. She made her own dress – she is heading into the world of fashion design, so look out for her line!

The next day (May 3rd), Mandy and Seth got married in California. Mandy is one of the first gals I met when I started college, and she has always been an inspiration, being a fiercely creative woman. Although we haven’t met Seth, we’re pretty sure he’s a great guy. Mandy was also in our wedding, as a bridesmaid as well as my wedding dress designer and tailor (she also designed and sewed her own wedding dress).

We’ve both known Nathan & Christy from our freshman years of college, and we’ve also been roommates (Joel and Nathan freshman year, Christy & Sarah junior and senior year). They were the first couple of our circle of college friends to get married, and are now the first to have a wee little baby. We can’t wait to meet this new Conant in the flesh!
